Youth Classes:

*No lesson on Saturday, 14 March 2026, due to St Peter’s Open Day.

Each Saturday lesson is 2.5 hours with a 15 min break included. Please note: If a class doesn’t reach the minimum of 5 students, it may be cancelled.

 

Our 2026 course program has fun, engaging and affordable German classes for children and youth learners at many levels.

Saturday face-to-face classes run for 9 Lessons each term at St Peters Lutheran College in Indooroopilly from 9am – 11.30am. There are no face-to-face classes during the week. Limited online classes are available depending on students’ age, ability for online learning, and level of German.

Extra or private lessons are subject to the availability of teachers.

Curriculum:

Curriculum aligns with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and delivers steady progression of language competency.

A1 (A1.1–A1.2)
Learners develop basic comprehension of familiar words, phrases, and simple sentences in German. Understanding is supported by clear structure, repetition, and everyday contexts.

A2 (A2.1–A2.2)
Learners understand short texts and conversations on routine topics and everyday situations. They can identify main ideas and specific information in straightforward spoken and written German.

B1 (B1.1–B1.2)
Learners understand the main points of clear standard German on familiar matters. They can follow longer texts and discussions that include explanations, opinions, and narratives.

B2 (B2.1–B2.2)
Learners understand complex texts and extended discourse, including abstract ideas and implied meaning. They can follow detailed arguments and natural-speed spoken German.

C1–C2
Learners demonstrate advanced comprehension across a wide range of texts and spoken contexts. They understand nuanced, idiomatic, and culturally embedded language with a high degree of accuracy.

 

Report card documents provided at the end of term 2 and 4 only.
