I really enjoy the various ways we are learning the language as we speak, listen and read. Our teacher is awesome! She is really patient and takes the time to help us speak correctly. I would highly recommend going to German classes at BGLS! (Alissa, adult student)
BGLS created a great space for all levels of students! I enjoy my night classes with my fellow students and the enthusiasm of the teacher definitively encourages our learnings even after a long day at work! I can see myself learning with BGLS for a long time. (Eric, adult student)
I am into my second term learning German. It is really interesting and fun to learn. The pace is good and adapted to the class. The teacher is fabulous and very patient. I look forward to seeing my BGLS family every Thursday night! (Francois, adult student)
The Brisbane German Language School is the best place for learning the German language and getting to know a bit about German culture. The school has a great community atmosphere. (Heidi, teacher)
One of the strengths of BGLS is that it provides a sense of community and the cultural aspect. This is very important to me. (Jen, adult student)
I like the BGLS because I can have fun and learn simultaneously with my classmates in a safe environment where mistakes are used as learning tools to help us understand the German language. (Miles, youth student)
Completely non-German students are made to feel very welcome (as are all students!) and the learning experience is enjoyable. Good mix of language and cultural learnings. (Steve, adult student)
The German School has given me a better insight into the German language and especially grammar. We always do lots of examples both written and oral. We also have fun learning German /Austrian culture with fun ways to learn like games (Shane, adult sudent)
I have learnt so much since I started lessons at the BGLS. My German speaking and writing have improved immensely. Classes every week are so much fun and we always laugh while learning. (Leanna, adult student)
The BGLS has allowed me to get back into a language that I love. The weekly classes have enabled me to revise what I know, build on this knowledge and also practise my conversational skills. I look forward to continuing my German language journey with BGLS. (Angela, adult student)
I love that I get to learn something new. I like the teachers because they are nice. It is challenging and fun. (Poppy, youth student)
I love this BGLS because I can speak German with my Mum’s Mum, her name is Oma Antje. I can teach my friends and if they are not listening I can say whatever Mum said to me when she’s angry. (Samantha, youth student)
I like going here because it helps me learn German, I get to learn a second language. If I am stuck I can ask for help and I have friends. At the beginning when I first came here I didn’t want to but after a while I started to like going here and want to keep coming here. I like how when your stuck you can ask for help. (Alex, youth student)
I love BGLS because it helps me with my German. I used to know nothing and now I know nearly everything. And sometimes I think I know more German than English. Before I came here I was going to hate German but when my mother said that she found BGLS and now I have made lots of great friends and we learn in a very fun way so the class never gets boring. They have the best and nicest teachers and we play awesome games. And sometimes we get candy or even prizes which is lots of fun. We learn animals, cities, brothers and other family members. But don’t worry we get a short fun break with your new or old friends and there are many nice people to make friends if you don’t find any friends. And during the break you can also eat delicious food. And those are all the reasons why I love BGLS. (Dana, youth student)
It is nice to be part of a community (Anna, youth student)
I love that our family can be immersed in the culture and language of our parents. It is great fun to learn together and practice each other. Our teachers are so encouraging and just lovely. More and more German is slipping into our everyday interactions at home (and our lunch boxes are becoming more flavoursome too!) (Janine and Mum)
